GENERAL CONDUCT of ENGINEERS

OVER AGE MEMBERS
All Members who reach the age limit of their respective grades (as reflected below or as specified for each the grades in the ZIE Grades & Status Page) at the end of each financial year of the Institution and have not applied for upgrading will have thier staus changed from "Active" to that of "Too Long in Grade". This status will attract fees at the rate of the next grade above the current grade.

• Student - 30 years (will be automatically written off is over age)
• Graduate Technician - 30 years
• Graduate - 35 years
• Members - 40 years

Provision is made for an extension of the age limit to be granted by Council if there are special circumstances. An extension will be considered upon receiving a request from the member concerned.
